Mars Dune Alpha
OVERVIEW
Collaborating with architectural visionaries BIG and NASA, we created an animation to illustrate the development of the first 3D-printed, simulated Mars surface habitat. Showing the construction of the 3D-printed habitat at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, and imagined at its intended destination on the harsh, Red Planet.

AMBITIONS
Several design competitions and investigations have been launched to design and develop resilient buildings, intended for habitation by the first humans to land on Mars.
For this purpose, architecture studio BIG and advanced construction technologies company ICON have established a 3D-printed structure for NASA that simulates Martian circumstances on Earth.

Crew: 4 person crew
Purpose: Gaining insights and information to assess NASA's space food system, physical and behavioral health and performance outcomes for future missions to Mars.

OUR MISSION
Pushing the frontiers of the framework we regularly operate in, not only did we illustrate the interiors and exteriors in question, but we also placed a special emphasis on communicating the mission and setting a call to action to explore this fascinating planet.
EVOLUTION
A certain level of cinematic elements were explored, while we created the settings, visual-effects, music and general mood of the presentation.
