Following our previous inspiring partnership with designer Melissa Monroe, we were eager to dive deeper and explore the creative spark that fuels the passion behind her work. Our crew joined her on location in Dallas, peaking behind the scenes, to create a portrait of this established artist.
Brick's initial partnership with the designer centered around the concepts envisioning the interior of an alluring and unique Gulfstream G650 jet. Departure from the typical corporate style aesthetic, Melissa rather explores the themes of travel of a bygone era, like the exotic and luxurious Orient Express. Allowing a space to escape, unwind and appreciate the ride.
ABOVE THE CLOUDS
Besides getting familiar with Melissa's story, the short film produced by Brick shares a brief glimpse into her creative process. Intrigued by the challenge of creating the interior for such a restricted space as a small aircraft. Working with artisan, handmaid products, unique rugs and other materials, leather and fabric in soothing color palettes.
Beyond the visuals commissioned by Melissa, Brick produced additional imagery and animations to depict the finished Gulfstream aircraft—highlighting its refined interior and sleek exterior as seen in the film.
